We can work on any type of PCB from basic single sided boards to multi layer through hole PCB's. Surface mount technology (SMT) has become increasingly common in production making repair of PCB's more difficult. Utilising the latest in digital microscope technology we have the ability to rework down to the smallest level of component, some only a millimetre in size.
We don't require schematics as we have decades of experience in fault finding and reverse engineering in order to locate the failed components. We will functionally test all inputs and outputs, and apply the correct power supplies needed for it to operate. We also always provide a root cause analysis as to how the failure happened to prevent a fault reocccuring in future.
Drive Repair
With over 20 years of experience in drive repairs, Martronic have you covered.
We repair all makes of drive down to component level. Upon completion we run test the unit fully testing all I/O including any communications. We have the facility to backup parameter sets from most common manufacturers.
Common faults could include:
- Power supply faults - not powering on
- Overcurrent trips
- Under/Overvoltage trips
- Communication faults
All repairs come with a 12 month warranty, With every repair we replace all components with a lifespan not just those that have failed. This includes electrolytic capacitors, cooling fans and relays. This ensure your repaired drive provides long service when returned.

Power Supply Repair
Power supplies are the heart of every device and they have to work very hard, often being powered on for very long periods which does nothing to help their lifespan.
Martronic are extremely knowledgeable in the repair of all types of power supply, from basic linear power supplies with a transformer and voltage regulator to complex multi output switch mode power supplies with power factor correction.
Your PSU may be exhibiting some of the issues below:
- Dead or slow to start up
- Blowing fuses
- Unstable output voltages
- Missing output voltages
- Unable to deliver the rated current when under load

PLC Repair
Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) have become commonplace in every machine, providing real time automation and control for even the most basic tasks. They are often seen as a "black box" where they are ignored, locked away in a control panel, that is until they go wrong.
Martronic have the ability to diagnose and repair faults on many manufacturers of PLC including

A faulty PLC can be hard to diagnose without the correct software and cables but we have the ability to connect to most common makes. From basic output faults, power supply faults or even communication faults we have the ability to work to component level to fix any issue.
Industrial PC Repair
Industrial PC's are designed to operate for a much longer time compared to a standard desktop PC. They are rugged, offer increased connectivity options and can handle much harsher environments.
Regardless of this, Industrial PC's can and do fail, often rendering a machine inoperative. Much like a PLC, the data held on these is critical. It's usually too late when you start to consider backups!

We will always take a disk image when a PC comes into the workshop and this can be kept on a cloud storage or sent to you on a USB drive.
